New Paltz's Favorite Summer Tradition Returns: Robibero Winery Sangria Festival
Summer in the Hudson Valley simply translates to sunshine, good food, and a glass of something cold in your hand.
This weekend, all three come together at Robibero Winery. If you've been scrolling for things to do in New Paltz in June 2026, you can stop right here. This is the one to put on the calendar, whether you're planning a full day out or just looking for a reason to get outside and enjoy the weather.
What's the event?
This is the Robibero Winery Sangria Festival 2026: sangria, sunshine, and a whole vineyard to enjoy it in. The festival takes over the winery grounds throughout the weekend, giving everyone plenty of time to find a good spot, settle in, and take it all in at their own pace.
Here's the breakdown:
- Location: 714 Albany Post Road, New Paltz, NY
- Days: Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, 2026
- Time: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (both days)
- What you'll find: handcrafted sangria, wine tastings, seafood and BBQ from Hooked Events, and vineyard views
Admission is free, no reservations and no tickets needed at the door. Just show up. If you want to taste a little more or eat a little more, you can add on tastings or food once you're there. But you don't have to spend a thing to walk in, find a seat, and enjoy the afternoon.
Why it's worth the drive
This is a sangria fest in New Paltz done right, so there's no pressure or planning headaches. It's simply a relaxed day outdoors surrounded by rows of vines and good company.
Bring a friend, bring the family, bring a blanket and stake out a spot on the lawn. The vineyard does most of the work setting the mood, and the food and drinks take care of the rest. Whether you're a longtime regular at Robibero or have never been out that way before, this is a good weekend to change that.
Come see us
Hudson Valley weekends are best when you string together a few good local stops, and this one is a gem. On your way to or from the festival, swing by Farmers Choice. It's just down the road in New Paltz, and it carries that same easygoing, neighborhood feel you'll find out at the winery.
We're located at 1 Old Route 299, New Paltz, NY 12561, open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. There's room to stop in before the festival or swing by on your way home, whichever fits your day better. We're rooted in the Hudson Valley, grown for the community, and we'd love to see you stop by.
Planning the day around Route 299
Robibero sits west of the village, and Farmers Choice New Paltz sits east of it at 1 Old Route 299, right at Thruway Exit 18. That means the barn is on your way in if you are coming up the Thruway, and on your way out if you are heading home. The store is open 8AM to 10PM every day, with about 35 parking spots on site and EV charging, plus a 360 virtual tour on the store page if you want to see the room before you drive over.
Ordering ahead on the New Paltz menu keeps the stop short on a busy festival Saturday. Place the order, choose a pickup time, and pay at the counter when you collect it. Most orders are ready inside an hour. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older, every visit, and note that everything is sealed at the counter and should stay sealed while you travel.
Two farm stands, one valley
Farmers Choice runs the New Paltz barn and the original farm stand in Fishkill at 18 Westage Drive, over in Dutchess County. Both carry the same core range from licensed New York producers, and both are staffed by Farm Hands who would rather answer a question than make a sale. Come visit either one and see which farm stand becomes your regular.
