What the flower wall actually holds
The flower wall is the biggest shelf in both stores, and we group it the way a farm stand groups produce. Jars sit together by grower first, so you can see everything a single New York farm sent us that week. Within each grower the varieties run in rows, and jar sizes step up from small to large so nothing gets buried in the back. Packaged eighths, quarters, and ounces share the case with the glass jars. Fresh picks get a marker on the shelf tag their first week on the wall, and the flower selection at both New York stores turns over often enough that the shelf looks different month to month.
Your first jar, or your usual one
If this is your first time at the flower counter, say so. There is no wrong answer and no quiz. Tell a Farm Hand what gear you already have at home and how much you want to take with you, and they will narrow forty jars down to three or four. Regulars work it the other direction. They come in knowing a grower they like and ask what that farm sent this week, or they just ask what landed yesterday. Both conversations take about two minutes at the counter, and both end with you holding something you picked yourself instead of something somebody talked you into.
Order ahead and pick up at either farm stand
The menu at the top of this page is live, so what you see is what is on the shelf right now. Build your order online, choose your store, and pick it up at the counter with a valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. The Barn at 1 Old Route 299, New Paltz, NY 12561 is open daily 8AM to 10PM, right at Thruway Exit 18 with about 35 parking spots and EV charging. The Fishkill farm stand at 18 Westage Drive, Fishkill, NY 12524 is open Sunday to Thursday 8AM to 10PM and Friday and Saturday 8AM to 11PM, just off Route 9 near the I-84 interchange.
