Our mission
We’re here to give our neighbors a dispensary worth coming back to: quality products, honest advice, and a welcoming shop where nobody feels rushed or talked down to. That’s the whole plan, and we work at it every day.
Farmers Choice is operated by Westage 7 LLC and holds two New York State Office of Cannabis Management adult-use retail licenses.
It started as a farm stand
Fishkill came first. The original Farmers Choice farm stand opened at 18 Westage Drive, just off the Route 9 corridor near the I-84 interchange, and it set the pattern for everything that followed: fresh picks up front, plain answers at the counter, regulars greeted by name. New Paltz came next, a proper barn at 1 Old Route 299 where Route 299 meets Thruway Exit 18, with the Shawangunk Ridge in the backyard, about 35 parking spots, EV charging out front, and a 360 virtual tour on its page for anyone who wants to see the room before driving over. Two stores, one way of doing things. Cannabis dispensary like no other.
The Farm Hands
We call our staff Farm Hands, and the name is not decoration. A Farm Hand knows what came in this week, what is running low, and which corner of the wall actually answers your question. They will give ten minutes to a first-timer and thirty seconds to a regular who knows exactly what they came in for, and neither one gets shortchanged. They will pull up lab paperwork if you ask for it. They will tell you plainly when something is not the right pick for you. Ask our team anything you like. The most basic question in the store has already been asked today.
Licensed, tested, and accountable
Farmers Choice operates two New York State Office of Cannabis Management adult-use retail licenses, OCM-RETL-24-000045 in Fishkill and OCM-RETL-24-000119 in New Paltz. Every product we stock comes from a producer licensed by that same agency, and every batch is screened by an independent, state-permitted laboratory before it reaches the shelf. The testing confirms what is in the package and checks the batch for contaminants, and the packaging carries the labeling and tracking the state requires. Part of the valley, not just located in it
Both stores sit in towns our people live in. Fishkill puts us at the crossroads of Dutchess County, ten minutes from Beacon and a straight run down Route 9 from Poughkeepsie. New Paltz puts us at the gateway to the Shawangunks, minutes from the rail trail and Water Street Market. We turn up for local fundraisers and town events, including the New Paltz fireworks we sponsored this summer.
