The original farm stand
Fishkill is where Farmers Choice started, and it still runs like a good farm stand: fresh picks up front, familiar faces behind the counter, and a steady rhythm of regulars from every corner of the county. The store sits at the crossroads Dutchess County actually drives, where Route 9 meets I-84, so it folds into an errand run from Poughkeepsie, a commute home to Hopewell Junction, or a bridge crossing from the west side of the river. It is also the only Farmers Choice store with later weekend hours, open 8AM to 11PM on Friday and Saturday, which makes it the county's easy after-dinner stop.
